As of 24 July 2017, the Arab Development Portal (ADP) database has been updated with latest available statistics published by international organizations on 3 new topics: banking and finance, health and environment.

 

Conducting multi-country comparisons

 

The Data Visualization facility allows users to visualize a selected indicator for more than one country through graphs and charts, while the Data Export facility allows users to export data for many countries and for multiple indicators listed under the same subject. The exported excel file lists indicators in separate sheets.

 

Banking and Finance: 59 indicators and 7,970 data points

 

ADP users can now access 59 indicators and 7,970 data points on banking and finance in the Arab region from the year 2000 onward published by International Monetary Fund (IMF), The World Bank, and Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).

 

The dataset covers different topics, namely banking sector, access to finance, insurance sector, and stock market.

Health: 52 indicators and 10,078 data points

 

ADP users can now access 52 indicators and 10,078 data points on health in the Arab region from the year 2000 onward published by World Health Organization (WHO), The world Bank, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Statistics Divisions (UNSD), The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), and International Diabetes Federation.

 

The dataset covers different topics, namely population dynamics, mortality, reproductive health, risk factors, disease prevention, health services, malnutrition, and health financing.

Environment: 75 indicators and 10,303 data points

 

ADP users can now access 75 indicators and 10,303 data points on environment in the Arab region from the year 2000 onward published by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO), The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), The World Bank, United Nations Statistics Divisions (UNSD), International Energy Agency (IEA), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR).

 

The dataset covers different topics, namely clean water and sanitation services, aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, sustainable cities, responsible consumption and production, sustainable energy for all, and combatting climate change.
