This research has included case-study analyses of specifi c policies and interventions, as well as systematic analyses of extensive cross-country and micro data sets. Finance for All? presents fi rst efforts at developing indicators illustrating that fi nancial access is quite limited around the world and identifi es barriers that may be preventing small fi rms and poor households from using fi nancial services. Based on this research, the report derives principles for effective government policy on broad- ening access.
