It examines the inflationary spike of 2007-08 in order to gain a better understanding of the main causes of Saudi inflation, and considers developments in 2009, when inflationary pressures eased quite rapidly, before moving on to examine the near- and medium-term outlook of the various drivers, both domestic and international.
